Pittsburgh International Airport (PIT)

~30 minutes from the venue

Pittsburgh International is the main airport serving the region, with direct flights from most major U.S. cities including Philadelphia, NYC, and Chicago.

Rideshare: Uber and Lyft pick up outside Baggage Claim Door #4. Expect about $35–45 to the North Shore area.

Budget option: The 28X Airport Flyer bus runs every 30 minutes from outside Door 6 at Baggage Claim to downtown Pittsburgh. Fare is $2.75 cash (exact change required) or $2.50 with a ConnectCard. The ride takes about 45 minutes.

Driving

Pittsburgh is easy to reach by car

Pittsburgh sits at the intersection of I-76 (Pennsylvania Turnpike), I-79, and I-70, making it accessible from all directions. The venue is on the North Shore, just across the river from downtown.

  • From NYC: ~6 hours via I-78 W to I-76 W
  • From Washington DC: ~4 hours via I-70 W
  • From Madison, WI: ~8 hours via I-90 E to I-80 E

A historic boutique hotel in a former Benedictine monastery on the North Side. Lots of character — exposed brick, a leafy courtyard, and the cozy Monks' Bar on site.

The Landing Hotel

A modern hotel attached to Rivers Casino with spacious rooms and river views. Free breakfast, on-site dining at the Wheelhouse, and easy parking. Heads up: the hotel connects through the casino, which is a smoking facility.

SpringHill Suites by Marriott North Shore

An all-suite Marriott right by Acrisure Stadium and PNC Park. Every room is a one-bedroom suite with a separate sitting area — a solid mid-range option with predictable amenities and walkable to plenty of restaurants.

Troy Hill Art Houses

~12 minutes from the venue

A unique collection of artist-transformed homes in Pittsburgh's Troy Hill neighborhood, inspired by Japan's Naoshima art houses. The project includes four immersive art spaces blending contemporary art, architecture, and local history.

It's free to visit! (But try to book at least a month in advance.)

Cathedral of Learning

~15 minutes from the venue

The tallest educational building in the Western Hemisphere, this 42-story Gothic tower is the centerpiece of the University of Pittsburgh campus. The Commons Room on the first floor is stunning and open to the public.

Don't miss the Nationality Rooms – 31 classrooms each designed to reflect the culture of a different ethnic group that helped build Pittsburgh. Tours are available daily.

Parks

5–15 minutes from the venue

Point State Park – The iconic spot where Pittsburgh's three rivers meet. Walk out to the fountain at the tip of the point for one of the best views in the city.

Schenley Park – A sprawling 456-acre park in Oakland with trails, Flagstaff Hill (great for picnics), and Phipps Conservatory right next door.

Carnegie Museums

~10-15 minutes from the venue

Carnegie Museum of Natural History (Oakland) – One of the largest natural history museums in the U.S., featuring exceptional dinosaur fossils including the famous Diplodocus carnegii.

Carnegie Museum of Art (Oakland) – One of the first U.S. museums to focus on contemporary art, featuring the renowned Hall of Architecture.

The Andy Warhol Museum (North Shore) – The largest museum dedicated to a single artist in North America, celebrating Pittsburgh's native son.

Carnegie Science Center (North Shore) – Four floors of interactive exhibits, a planetarium, and giant cinema.

Randyland

~8 minutes from the venue

A wildly colorful folk art installation in Pittsburgh's North Side, created by local artist Randy Gilson. The house and courtyard are covered floor-to-ceiling in vibrant murals, sculptures, and found-object art.

It's free to visit and Randy himself is often there to say hello!

Duquesne Incline

~10 minutes from the venue

One of Pittsburgh's two remaining inclines, this historic funicular has been carrying passengers up Mt. Washington since 1877. The observation deck at the top offers one of the best views of the city skyline and three rivers.

Fare is $6 round trip. There's also a small museum and gift shop at the upper station.

Phipps Conservatory

~15 minutes from the venue

A stunning Victorian-era glasshouse and botanical garden in Schenley Park. The conservatory features 14 rooms of carefully curated plant displays, from tropical orchids to desert cacti, plus beautiful outdoor gardens.
